FIVE ARRESTED AFTER ROBBERY IN CONCORD....

Concord Police arrested five people on Wednesday afternoon after a robbery on Robin Lane, near Meadow.

It happened around 1-o'clock on Wednesday when a 19-year-old male and a 19-year-old female were walking on the street and were approached by three of the five suspects.

Lt. Steve Dyer with CPD tells us what happened next....

The suspects immediately attacked the male victim knocking him to the ground. While the male victim was lying on the ground the suspects continued to kick and punch him.

One of the suspects removed the victim’s wallet from his pocket. The three suspects then ran back to the awaiting vehicle which sped off towards Monument Boulevard.

A few minutes later a patrol officer spotted the suspect vehicle on Monument Boulevard near Detroit Avenue.

An enforcement stop was initiated and five suspects were detained. Both victims positively identified the occupants of the vehicle as the suspects in the robbery.

The five suspects (1 adult and 4 juveniles) were subsequently arrested for Conspiracy and Robbery and transported to the Concord City Jail.

After booking, the 4 juvenile suspects were transported to Juvenile Hall, while the adult suspect was transported to the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Department Main Detention Facility in Martinez.

The male victim received minor injuries from the assault however he declined medical treatment. The female victim was unharmed.

Lt. Dyer says they arrested 18-year-old Concord resident Cole Ford, as well as a 16-year-old male from Concord, a 16-year-old male from Pleasant Hill, a 16-year-old male from Bay Point and a 15-year-old male from Pittsburg.

Thanks to Lt. Dyer for the information, and great job to the Concord Police for catching the suspects.

Nothing good ever happens on Monument Boulevard.

>>>AND why were they not in school?

Oh, high drop out rate in California. When you don't educate them, you start the cycle that leads to criminals.

Gee - I wonder why? Losers..... probably already has a warrant out for his arrest. There is more to this story - probably drug deal gone bad.....

Good ol' Monument Blvd. Good ol' local boys. I sure wish we could release the names! I bet they go to school with our own children. In other countries, they would be stoned to death.

"There is more to this story..."... probably. but at least 5 no-gooders are in jail.

I'm sorry but if the "juveniles" are commiting these type of crimes then they need to be treated, charged and tried as adults and their dumb ass names need to be published. Also if the parents are on houseing or any other assistance it needs to be cut-off. They are not working and they are obviously not raising their kids.

8:49 AM Good point. I'm sure it has to do with money.

Come on government programs need to still be pulled! Make sure we take sports fully away, music, library and PE away from kids so more and more can do this stuff! These are high school kids with a 18 yr old ring leader. Glad they caught these little punks and wish I could magically show up on the scene and pull a Dexter on these little turds!! They are heading on there way to a body bag eventually anyways!

Anonymous said...

Ahhh a Concord Dexter hmmmm I like that idea. Any borderline blood spatter analysts out there?

Anonymous said...

Again, I would like to know the names of the juveniles. They are committing crimes. She should have the right to know who they are so we can steer clear of them!

Anonymous said...

They should be tried as adults. They're close enough to 18 and are obviously already doing adult things, like beating the c rap out of people, robbing them and who knows what else. They're useless Scum that need to be put away forever.

Anonymous said...

Please................These kids were never involved in sports, music theatre etc.....A thug is a thug is a thug. So stopp blaming the schools, economy, tax payers and but the blame where it belongs...in their drug & alcohol section * welfare infested homes. Children learn by example. Yep Dad (id they even know who dad is) in & out of jail, mom speads her legs for her drugs or alcohol....yep fine homes these kids come from. Another generation of jailbird, drug/alcohol using welfarites approcahing.

That is the DA's job, the police have to dump them at JH because of their tender young age. When formal charges are filed hopefully the DA will file it as adult.

Can anything good come from Monument Blvd.?

Yes I know these kids probably arent in programs but I was just putting out the point that everything is stripped that has hope. Only hope is for a real life Dexter to come in and clean up the shit and drop it at sea! Yes I would love that! Also to come pick up the Pedophiles that live all around my area!! Hate those fuckers more than anything!!

".....were subsequently arrested for Conspiracy and Robbery and transported.."

Can we also add Thuggery as another crime to be charged with? The punishment would involve a public Caning at the Todo Santos Stage, 1 week of standing at the busiest street corners in Concord holding a sign and.........

Anyone care to add anything?

How much cash are you gonna get mugging two teenagers on Robin Lane? Stupid.

Oh my goodness my son and I saw this stop yesterday by the ARCO on Detroit Ave. The boys in the car looked more annoyed than anything.

My son and I were a little frightened to be driving by them.

No. Just idiots. I don't think this is a drug deal gone bad. This sounds like the neighborhood. That's why I carry a skate board. Five might overcome me, but at least two will be on the ground with some pretty serious head wounds. The fact that it was in the afternoon is pretty crazy though.

Unlikely given the the way the scene was reported. Declining medical is generally smart unless you have paid-up medical insurance. If you claim you are injured, even in a minor way, then protocol is you must be attended to by paramedics, etc. At minimum you will get a bill from American Medical Response and pretty soon after that thugs from collection agencies will be calling. If the injury is anything more than a bruised ego then per protocol you will also get transported to ER "for evaluation." The 4-corners area to county hospital in Martinez is likely a $1,000 ride and just the act of looking at you, much less doing anything, in the ER will cost a couple-a-grand. County will also turn your bill over to collections. First they do it in house and then it's private thugs.

Kudos to Concord PD for catching the first group of thugs. We can't do much about the latter thugs.

If these punks need cash, they should try mowing the neighbors lawn, painting a fence or two, working an odd job here and there. McDonald's is always hiring. Earn it the honorable way. They have NO self respect or integrity. Too many of these dirt bag losers on the streets. Bring out the tar and feathers......

Anon 10:40 the victims medical bills, including ambulance ride would have been covered un ther VOC Program (Victim of Crime) and repayment to the program would be made acodition of probation/parole of the Thug of the Month club upon their release. Hopefully someone is keeping an eye onthe victim as an underlaying head or chest injury could surface at anytime.

The thugs should have "axed" him for his wallet.

We need to employ some public flogging. I bet these kids would wise up if all their buddies got to see them bare ass getting spanked and crying.

Of course the bleeding hearts would say its unfair but im sure the guy who got his butt whooped for a wallet doesnt think so.

Yep it looks like he did go to YV at one time, looked him up in the YVHS 2008. He either graduated in June 09 or dropped out at 18. Believe me, if he was a problem at YVHS he'd be gone. The administration takes this seriously. I know because I have students at YVHS and in the 9 years we have been there, never had an issue on campus. Matter of fact, if an issue were to occur off campus the administration knows about it and monitors the problem students. All High Schools have problems, a gang calling themselves the NorCal Mob (I think, can't remember the exact name, this was 2 1/2 years ago) put our son's good friend in the hospital, all from Clayton High. Two are in prison, last I heard one was on the run. One of our children was jumped and assaulted and guess where these boys were transfers too, Northgate. Won that one in court and also received money for our child's injuries and our lost wages.

I hope these victim's sue for medical, therapy, lost wages, etc. They also need to hound the DA to make sure charges are pressed and also attend hearings to show the judge that as victims they demand justice. We did this and these juveniles paid the price. Of course Mom hired a high profile attorney and we still won! Show these young punks you mean business because our legal system sometimes lets them get away with crud like this.

Glad CPD caught them.

There is a victims compensation fund for california victims of crime. Unfortunatley its a complicated, drawn out process to get the billes covered.
The medical bills stay in the victims name the whole time. Which means that you receive all the collection phone calls while you wait for the county to pay.

I worked medical billing and these were the worst for payment. Lots of hoops to jump through as the victim.

No, even the mexican food on Monument is garbage. Let alone the fear of getting stabbed walking from your car to the restaurant.

I cant even go to the 7-11 across from wendys without being approached by 2-3 cracked out looking guys. INS needs to make a huge sweep of the area and send these guys home.

I agree with what someone suggested of pulling the government funding of families whos childred are out comitting violent crimes.

If it were mexico the kids would have been beaten within an inch of their lives and be in a cockroach rat infested slimey cell.
They have it too good out here.

I call for public lashings. That's the problem with this liberal country. We're too concerned about human rights. What about the rights of the lawful and just? I noticed we stopped identifying the race of these thugs. I'd just like to keep the eye out for who is committing these crimes.

There is no good Mexican food on Monument. There is no good anything on Monument. You stand on Oak Grove and Monument (I needed a smog slip) and it looks like the United Nations of Ghetto Dwellers. Same with Park and Shop Center, and every thing in between. It's moving down Willow Pass and Clayton Roads. Wait about 5 years, when it will back fill.

when there's violence involved, tell 'em: one more bust for violence ( battery, aggravated assault, etc. ) or armed robbery ( gun, knife ) and you will be killed. you get one mulligan, next time ( 2nd offense, ) swift death...and if you're a gang banger, we'll wake your sorry ass up and kill you again.
